Mother's day gift ideas!

Helloooooo....it's me. Just kidding, I'd give anything to be Adele.

It's not that long until Mother's day and I'm trying to be organised this year with presents because I'm a pretty busy gal.

March 6th!!

Some of the things I suggest are fun bits your Mum might not by herself. Photo frames are a firm fave especially when you fill them with lovely memories. Obviously to go alongside that and my main suggestion is that you make time and do something with her. Whether you get on that well on not, you're lucky to have her, some people don't get the chance. Take the opportunity, go to the cinema, or for afternoon tea or even a picnic on the rug sat in front of the tele. Make a memory, they last longer.

Another suggestion of mine is to buy her a lush bath bomb, and do what you can to make an at home spa. Or if you can afford the real thing you could send her to the Lush spa. Get a plastic tub for her to soak her feet. Paint her nails. MAKE HER FEEL SPECIAL. That's the most important part.

My mum likes charms, she has a Pandora with a few charms on but something a little bit different are the Fossil charms, they'e slightly more quirky if you like that sort of thing, which I do.

Shoes, who doesn't love shoes. My mums often jetting off on sunny little holidays so sandals are always fun and she is obsessed with sketchers for the comfort so if your mum gets sore feet, maybe give these a try. The do slippers called Bobs which are unbelievably comfortable.

What will you be doing this Mothering Sunday?

My summer fashion wishlist

My summer fashion wishlist

My summer fashion wishlist by xsarahxmx featuring leather bags

As we are strongly heading into spring, I thought it would be fun to show you what I plan to be wearing/buying this summer and what are my summer essentials!

  • Cardigans - Let's not all get that excited we still live in England so it's still freezing in spring and summer, these are essential for keeping warm instead of freezing to death. (Can we all take a minute to appreciate that I spelt cardigan wrong on my collage, yes I am an English Language student. Would you believe, I am also far too lazy to go back and change it! :D)
  • Skater Dresses - I have just splashed out on some lovely statements pieces to wear for the summer, so my plan is to keep the clothing simple and accessories well! I want fun and pretty colours and a comfortable style (which is long enough hopefully).
  • Maxi skirts - (what I am currently wearing now) These are perfect for English summers, light and breezy yet they cover you up so you don't have to worry about being pale and keep you warm, because let's face it England never gets hot enough for hot pants. NEVER.
  • Pretty sandals - I love sandals! I think they make any outfit summery, this year I really want to find some extra pretty ones! :D
  • And of course, a Summery bag - Bags are my thing, I love them. I want a nice brightly coloured one for this year but I need to get a job so I can buy one first.
I'm also on the lookout for some swimwear for my holidays, but I doubt I'll be wearing any over here. What are your summer essentials? Let me know in the comments below!

To do list: Films

To do list: Films

To do list: Films by sarah-meadows-i on Polyvore

These are a few of the films on my radar that I want to watch in the next few weeks.

  • Divergent - It's the only one of my list that isn't out yet and I'm super excited for the film!
  • Frozen - I wanted to go the cinema when this came out and just never got the chance, Let it go is on my playlist so I already know all the words!
  • Pirates of the Caribbean - Dylan and I watched the first one the other week and I've never seen any of the others so I'd like to watch the rest.
  • Inception -  I know this is old now, but I still haven't seen it and I want to know what all the fuss was about.
  • We're the Millers - Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts, how can I not?

If you have any other film recommendation please let me know! I also can't wait to see the Fault in our stars, but I need to read the book first. I'm also thinking of reading Harry Potter from the start! ;)

Reading list

As a writer I feel it is my duty to read all the books out there, but that would be impossible, so I thought I'd share some of my to do list: reading edition with you guys. Some are very recent additions and some have been on this list a good while.

Reading list

The faults in our stars
This is my newest addition to the list, everyone and their mother are talking about this and if I'm right, I think it's coming out in the cinema soon, so I need to get a shuffle on.

The girl with the dragon tattoo
This has been on my list for probably around 4 years? Whenever it was really big, I bought the books for my mum, slightly because I wanted to read them myself, and she really enjoyed them but I still haven't even tried.

Divergent series
Funny thing with this one, I've read the first 2 and LOVED them! But at the time the third one wasn't available so I waited, and obviously missed it ahaha, but it's coming to the cinema aswell soon so can't wait to go see that.

The devil wear prada series
This has also been on my list since, I was in high school, so that's at least 3 years ago, I adore the film and my friend told me how good it was, and again, this another set sitting on my shelf!

Wreck this journal
Not technically a book but I still really want this! It looks amazing! I need it! Like now!

The perks of being a wall flower
It's only recently I've decided I want to read this, but I just do and I dont know why cough* Emma Watson *cough I just think it's something that would interest me.

Harry Potter
I fancy reading these bad boys again, I just love them! No excuse needed!

I know this is very sad, but I love books that make me cry, or romance or anything girly tbh, and lately I'm really into that dystopian stuff. It's cool! Ahahha. If you have any recommmendations don't forget to leave it in the comments. Thanks!

Things I'd love to love!

You know those beauty things everyone does, or raves about, and I think to myself, why don't I like that? Why doesn't that work for me? How do they do that? Well I'm going to tell you that now! Hahaha.
Things I'd love to love!

Winged eyeliner - *huff* this makes me very sad, I have very small eyelid area, like Blake Lively (You know coz we're exactly the same!) It's called hooded eyelids, and I can't really wear eyeliner on my eyelid which makes me sad because I think it's a good look and it makes me jealous.

Curling my eyelashes - I don't understand, i don't think this makes any difference what so ever? I just don't see what the point is, I'm also terrified of trapping my eyelid or cutting my eyelashes off!

Loose pigments - I'm far too clumsy, I spill things everywhere, I get them everywhere but I think they're pretty amazing, and I've seen some beautiful ones that I'd love to try, but I get scared!

Mascara on my bottom lashes - again comes back to small eyes, and it gets all over my face too, I just can't seem to pull this off.

Using Hairspray - I use it once in a blue moon when I've tried to curl my hair. It doesn't seem to do anything for my hair, that may be because it's SO thick. But I envy people with beautiful, put together hairstyles!

So what products don't you get on with? Are any of yours the same as mine?

My wish list!

my wish list!

This could get a bit awkward considering it's my birthday on sunday! ;) Ahh well, I'll do it anyway! These are the things I've been dreaming about lately (beauty wise).
I used Polyvore to help with this post.

Soap and Glory - One heck of a blot
This is a setting powder, that is finely milled and supposed to have a beautiful buttery texture.

Real techniques brushes
Everyone and their mother raves about these brushes especially the core collection.

Stila convertible colours
A cream blush that can be worn on the lips, available in many colours.

Urban Decay setting spray
You can use this to prep your skin before make-up and to finish as a last step.
YSL Rouge Voulpte Shine
WOW. No explanation needed.

Bobbi Brown Concealer
Concealer is probably my favourite product, it makes the most difference and I want
to find out the difference between low and high end!

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush
You can't actually find these in the UK therefore, these will be on every wish list
till I can wrap my fingers around them!

Benefit Porefessional
Running low! This has a beautiful finish!
Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation
Apparently this is a great high street foundation, but comes in at just over £10,
 that's expensive in my books!
Max Factor Cream Blush - soft pink
Another cheek and lip combo product so why no give it a go!
Maybelline The Rocket
I'm intrigued I guess!

Nars Creamy Concealer
Again with more concealer! What can I say?
TheBalm Mary Lou-manizer
Ahhh highlighters are the most beautiful make-up items in my opinion and I can't
wait to try this one!
Molecule 01 perfume
One molecule in the perfume and apparently it's difference on everyone!

Vaseline spray and go - cocoa
It smells amazing, and the concept excites me.

Mac lipsticks - any
I want more of these in my life, I currently have one.

Last but certainly not least...

Mac Mineralized Skin finish - soft and gentle.
ERMAGERD. I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE LIKE NOW PLEASE!

So that's a lot I know! Haha but this is in my imagery world, right? ;)
