Mother's day gift ideas by xsarahxmx featuring wall collage picture frames

Some of the things I suggest are fun bits your Mum might not by herself. Photo frames are a firm fave especially when you fill them with lovely memories. Obviously to go alongside that and my main suggestion is that you make time and do something with her. Whether you get on that well on not, you're lucky to have her, some people don't get the chance. Take the opportunity, go to the cinema, or for afternoon tea or even a picnic on the rug sat in front of the tele. Make a memory, they last longer.

Another suggestion of mine is to buy her a lush bath bomb, and do what you can to make an at home spa. Or if you can afford the real thing you could send her to the Lush spa. Get a plastic tub for her to soak her feet. Paint her nails. MAKE HER FEEL SPECIAL. That's the most important part.

My mum likes charms, she has a Pandora with a few charms on but something a little bit different are the Fossil charms, they'e slightly more quirky if you like that sort of thing, which I do.

Shoes, who doesn't love shoes. My mums often jetting off on sunny little holidays so sandals are always fun and she is obsessed with sketchers for the comfort so if your mum gets sore feet, maybe give these a try. The do slippers called Bobs which are unbelievably comfortable.

What will you be doing this Mothering Sunday?

Versus: Magazines: Online or paper?

Hello again!

Another versus, do you buy magazines still? Or do you find the information you need online? Or do you combine the 2 and pay for electronic magazines?

Image from Google

I was sorting through this stack of magazines under my bedside table when I came across a Issue from November 2011, like what the hell, why do I even still have this and it got me thinking? Why do I pay between £1-5 for pieces of paper stuck together with information on, when I can find this information elsewhere for free?

Lately I've only been buying magazines with good free samples tbh, but that's a different kettle of fish all together. But I tend to hold on to my old mags and I don't know why. So rather than reading the comso mag, should we just read cosmo online? Saving paper?

What do you think, if I still want the layout and the content of my fave magazine, you can subscribe to it via app or whatever, or on the website for free. Or I can even track down my own elsewhere.

Are we stupid for buying magazines? Is it really necessary? Let me know your thoughts on this,

Fragrance Friday: Britney Spears Circus Night

You may be thinking 'Bloody Nora' who wants to smell like Britney Spears, well I do! And if you have ever smelled this you will understand why!

This is the Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy. When I wear this I ALWAYS get complemented, it's so yummy and sweet. This is my second bottle because I love it so much.

Not too expensive at £23 for 30ml from Boots which you can find here. This perfume has 5 stars on the Boots website. I advise you to go to and read the recommendations on the websites they're all positive.

Or you can find it here for £18.95 on allbeauty.com and this is a 100ml bottle. Which again has 5 stars.

It is very heavily sweet and can be sickly if you don't like sweet scents but it is one of my all time favourites.

Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy is an intoxicating elixir of luscious fruits that invites you into a mysterious realm of temptation and intruige.

The fragrance is a sophisticated twist on the original Britney Spears Fantasy fragrance.Britney Spears Midnight leave a warm and sexy trail of intruige.

Versus: Books vs Kindle

Morning gang.

So I have another Versus, this one is books versus kindles, the paper against the electronic. Part of me is a romantic and loves the smell of an old book, I love the satisfaction of turning the pages and seeing exactly how far you've read and how much more you have to go, I love it when people have turned down the page (although I don't) in library books, it shows you were they stopped, I love using a real book mark especially pretty ones.
These are just a few from my mini library.
Kindles and the kindle app, are so convenient, it's so lightweight, you can have as many books on hand as you want, you don't need to bookmark it because it saves it for you, the battery lasts ages, if you don't let it die, you can go on the internet on the newer ones or you can even get the Kindle app on your phone or tablet. It is so versatile and such a great invention.
Sorry it has no battery.
So what do you choose, are you one of the people who loves the smell of a good book, or do prefer having 1000s of books at your fingertips? Let me know in the comments below.

How's Uni?

Hard, REALLY REALLY HARD.

I study at Liverpool John Moores University and I am a third year creative writing student. Now you may be thinking 'Sarah, doesn't that mean you just write stories all day?'. Well, actually yes. But it's
not as easy as it sounds, finding inspiration can be really difficult.

Picture taken from Google
One of the most important things uni has taught me is to appreciate the smaller things and notice the details. Like when your cousin has a sparkly button on her cardigan. Or you notice if your mum is wearing that Bracelet you bought for her again. And when your boyfriend tidy's your bedroom because he knows your busy with other things.

It's the small things. That's what makes everything better because you have taken the time to appreciate it.

If I come out of uni with just a pass, at least i know i have learnt things.

Saying that, it does not mean I'm okay with just a pass.

What have you been up to, let's have a catch up in the comments?

Where have I been hiding?

Hello you beauties!
I'm really sorry I haven't posted in ages (literally AGESSSSS(like nearly 2 years ages!)), I've had a fair bit going on in my own life, but things have settles down again and I'm finally back into a normal routine! So where shall I start first..

Quote from weheartit
  • I finished my first and second years at uni which is crazy! Last assignments and exam prep has been done!
  • In bigger news, I didn't go to back to Chester after first year.
  • However on a positive note, I transferred to Liverpool John Moores University and dropped English Language so I'm a full time Creative Writer now! Woo! And I'm loving it in 3rd year.
  • I got a new job, I started working at Millie's Cookies, and although it's great earning money, I had forgotten how tiring working can be after my little break haha, I'm so lazy! Which makes my next point a little bit harder.
  • Then I got a different job and had to stop working at Millies, I was working at my favourite shop in the whole world FOSSIL!
  • But THEN when I transferred uni, that I meant I was moving back home, so I went back to my old job at the Hotel (so that was a little waste of time, but hey I learnt stuff!)
  • I've been away to Portugal with my Mum.
  • I've booked next years holiday!
  • Some of my favourite people in the whole world moved across the globe to Canada! So I miss them like crazy, but they're happy so I guess I am too!
  • I've been to Canada TWICE!
  • Been to Murcia in Spain.
  • Saving for my next trip to Canada.
  • Got a second job to help save.
  • Been to 2 Cabin holidays with my best friends.
  • Joined Slimming World.
So there's some big life updates for you, if you have any questions leave them in the comments below and if I think of anything else, I'll be sure to let you know!

Harry Potter London studio tour

Morning, I've just been scrambling through my hard drive which is a mess btw, and found loads of cool pictures. These are from when I went to the Harry Potter Studios in London for the second time on my 19th Birthday. Have a look through if you want, I loved both times I went. Let me know if you've been and what you thought. P.S. because it was my birthday I got to open the big doors leading into the Great Hall.

Crookshanks, Sorry for the quality, I was really zoomed in.

R.I.P. Aragog King of the Arachnids, the body will decay but the spirit lingers on. LOL.

R.I.P Dobby

God, I friggin' love Harry Potter. Just need to go to the Theme Park now. Who's with me?
